The Barclays Youth Clinic presented by Wipro Technologies to host 450 area children, features "Trick Shot Master" Peter Johncke

Clinic set for Tuesday at 1 p.m.; fans are reminded that youth attend The Barclays for free

EDISON, N.J. – As part of The Barclays, "Trick Shot Master" Peter Johncke will host 450 children from nearby First Tee Chapters, YMCAs and youth advocate programs on the driving range at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, at Plainfield Country Club for The Barclays Youth Clinic presented by Wipro Technologies.

Johncke has performed his trick shots all around the world, including Sweden, Spain, Iceland, Mexico, Russia, and many more. His father, Claes, taught Peter how to golf and was one of Europe's top players for over 10 years, winning seven straight Swedish Championships and three Scandinavian Championships.

Johncke will entertain children from The First Tee of Plainfield, The First Tee of Raritan Valley, The First Tee of Metropolitan New York, The First Tee of Monmouth/Ocean, Plainfield Boys & Girls Club, ARC of Monmouth, YMCA of MEWSA, Westfield YMCA, Plainfield YMCA and SNAP.

"We're proud to be the sponsor of The Barclays Youth Clinic," said Chief Marketing Officer of Wipro Technologies Rajan Kohli. "Giving back to the community by nurturing young talent is an important component of the ‘Spirit of Wipro.'"

Spectators are welcome to watch the clinic, and fans are reminded that up to three children 18 and younger are admitted free to The Barclays all week when accompanied by a ticketed adult. This policy applies to grounds tickets only; children 6 years of age or older will need an upgraded ticket to gain admission to the Benefactor or Skybox hospitality venues.

Limited tournament tickets are still available and can be purchased at www.thebarclaysgolf.com.

About The Barclays

The Barclays has been a part of the PGA TOUR schedule since 1967 when Jack Nicklaus won the inaugural event at Westchester Country Club. Since that time, some of the greatest players in the game have earned the title including World Golf Hall of Famers Arnold Palmer, Johnny Miller, Raymond Floyd, Seve Ballesteros, Hale Irwin, Curtis Strange and the new defending champion, Heath Slocum, 2009 winner of The Barclays. Many of the world's current top players have won the event as well, including two-time champions Ernie Els and Sergio Garcia, and four-time champion Vijay Singh. As the first of four playoff events, The Barclays plays a leading role in the FedExCup, the season-long competition that is the centerpiece of the PGA TOUR season. In 2010, The Barclays will be held at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus New Jersey, on August 24-29.
